This 3 week program focuses on transition / ramp skateboard skills following our mini-ramp program.  Students must have basic level of ability on their skateboard. Students must be able to stand, push and roll comfortably on inclined / banked and transition surfaces ( like skateboard parks) and must have a decent level of balance and control. This course is will focus on "pumping", "kick-turning", "fakies" "dropping in" and basic ramp tricks. 

Safety equipment: Helmets are mandatory and need to be provided by the student (bike helmets OK). Padding is strongly recommended.

Skateboard: Must be provided by the student. 

Proper "trick" or "park style" skateboard are mandatory. No Penny or plastic "toy" skateboards, longboards, boards without proper grip tape , etc.

Our Womxn mini-ramp program is now available at the VSBC's Granville Island mini-ramp.

This program focuses on transition skateboarding following our mini-ramp program. Students should have some transition skating experience, however students with strong flat ground experience will be accepted. Please contact us for an assessment, if you are unsure about the skill level.

Learn the fundamental skills to go from never having ridden a skateboard to safely rolling around. These indoor classes focus on foot placement, pushing, turning, stopping, safety, terminology, and basic tricks. Helmet and safety padding are mandatory for all participants (some equipment are available for loan). Participants are expected to have their own skateboard, with a limited number of skateboards available for use during lessons.
